Where the name comes from
Balatik is the Tagalog name for the three bright stars of Orion’s Belt. The belt lies almost on the celestial equator, so it rises close to due east and sets close to due west from anywhere on Earth. Few points in the night sky are easier to find or steadier to steer by.
The sky gave us the stars. We add the code, which is why the company takes a c where the star name keeps its k.
